Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico in a bicultural Puerto Rican/ New Mexican household, Luna Olavarría Gallegos is a storyteller, technologist, arts practitioner and archivist who works around themes of dying Internet and growing diaspora, and how they together affect worldwide culture. She is the founder and director of AfroRazones, which was born out of a desire to support independent artists who are not yet cyborgs and connect across diaspora.

Queens native as a result of Romania meets Curaçao, Laura Catana is a cultural advocate and music junkie. Her passions for unearthing honest music through human connections lead her to become manager of Guámpara Productionsxs for four years, before pivoting as an independent music producer and consultant. She now works globally from Havana, doing live event production, touring and distribution support for Cuban artists.

Eli Jacobs-Fantauzzi of FistUP.TV is an award-winning filmmaker who documents people's stories from around the world as a way to expand community awareness around issues of social responsibility and cultural identity. His most recent film, BAKOSÓ: AfroBeats of Cuba, explores how AfroBeats came to Cuba by way of African medical students and emerged as a new culture. He is a co-founder of Puerto Rican solidarity project, DEFEND PR.

Nasha Anacaona Holguin of Atabey Revolution is a writer, dancer, cultural organizer and healer based in Santo Domingo, who uses a broad set of modalities to support local and global art. Her vision and understanding of the Dominican Republic as an origin of global music trends has lead her to be an influential force in local and international Latin American music scenes.
RESIDENCY CO-DIRECTOR & VISION
Marcos Medrano is a Dominican songwriter and artist who plays an integral part in the new alternative roots scene in Santo Domingo. At his young age, he has collaborated with artists including Luis Santanmoret, Caribe Acido, El Squad and is currently the guitarist of the neo-electro fusion group, Nikola. He is currently working on his debut solo project, Apertura, which will bridge together traditional Dominican artistry with a fresh understanding of the current landscape that draws from jazz and electronic music traditions.
